Keeping count when one spends in good cause, and being unconcerned about the amount spent on entertainment.

We are living in a time in which most of us prefer this life over the Hereafter. We give preference to personal comforts and desires over the needs and benefits of humanity.

An unfortunate example of this trend is that many people raise questions on the expenditure incurred on discharging the obligations of udhiya, Umrah and Hajj. This skepticism is expressed despite the very obvious spiritual, psychological and social benefits of these acts of worship.

While no one questions the exorbitant amounts that are annually splurged by governments and individuals in sustaining the multi-billion dollar global entertainment industry.

Do you know that  billions are being spent on games and cultural programmes?

And no body is raising any question.

But the same people question the expenditure  on Umrah, Hajj and similar righteous causes.

Be careful, and be wary of this deviant thought process which would have you criticize the traditional established ways and rites of worship, based on skewed logic and selective righteous indignation. It is an insidious attempt to change your priorities and your belief system. May Allah protect us from becoming prey to such devious ideologies!
